A privately funded research institute wished to optimize the allocation of funds, avoid duplication in programs, equipment and expertise and stimulate overall the quality and volume of scientific innovation at their institutes. In collaboration with our partners PwC, we examined every  department, communication route, resource allocation and efficiency of its use, the decision making process and the quality of scientific expertise at every level in the organization. Our recommendation for a restructuring was taken up and we are now working with the client to implement our recommendations and develop a system to monitor the efficiency of the institute in the future.
